How to Start a Husqvarna 359 Chainsaw?

1- Remove the Husqvarna 359 chainsaw’s protection cover. The chain bar is angled slightly and does not touch the ground with the bottom of the chainsaw flat.

2- To work the chain brake, push the front hand guard forward. To get to the choke position, pull out the choke lever. The choke lever is located on the left rear of the chainsaw beneath the start switch. The start switch automatically activates to place it in operation.

3- It has a unique decompression valve on the right side. This valve lowers cylinder pressure and aids in starting the engine. Always press the button before turning on the chainsaw to make sure it operates properly. The valve reenters its normal position as soon as the equipment starts operating.

4- Place your right foot inside the chainsaw handle and grip the front handle with your left hand. Pull out the starter rope in a controlled manner until you feel resistance with your right hand.

5- When the engine is cold, rapidly pull on the starter rope and then let it rewind into the chainsaw. If the engine is chilly, you may have to repeat the pulling action several times. After starting up, switch on the choke knob and release after pushing in throttle trigger.

6- To remove a chain, grasp the handles of the chainsaw and pull them towards you. To disable the chain brake, pull the front guard towards the front handle.

Husqvarna 359 bar and chain

The Husqvarna 359 is designed for 13 to 20 inch bars, however it is alleged to accommodate longer bars quite well. Owners of these machines generally have 18 and 20 foot bars. If it had featured an 18 inch cylinder, it would almost always be marketed as an 18 inch bottle. In most situations, it’s determined by the chain and where you work. The ability of the 325 is similar to that of the majority of 3-1/2 chains.

Husqvarna 359 Engine Problems

  • Oil pump seals and hose
  • Could have a cracked gas line (may need new carb and all new lines)
  • Check for an air leak – the seals or intake could be leaking
  • The fuel tank pickup filter could be dirty/clogged
  • Check the spark-plug – they can stop sparking inside the cylinder when they get close to operating temperature
  • If it has a plastic intake clamp replace the intake boot and clamp
  • Check the compression

Husqvarna 359 Leaking Bar Oil

The Husqvarna 359 chainsaw is an excellent product. However, there are some points to consider when using it. First of all, make sure you start the machine correctly and use full throttle right away to avoid stalling the engine.

This model also tends to leak bar oil and if you do not check it regularly, your chainsaw will stop working properly. Do not keep any liquids near the Husqvarna chainsaw as this can cause a fire hazard or damage your equipment.
