Packaging:

The WORX 20V chainsaw comes in a fantastic box that is very easy to open. It has an attractive picture on the front of it showing you what your new cordless chainsaw looks like, and gives you all of its specifications. The back panel opens up into great pictures with bullet points explaining some more key elements about this product. It is clear that a lot of thought went into the packaging, and it makes you feel confident about what you are buying.

Excellent fit and finish:

Worx 20V cordless chainsaw comes with a sturdy and compact design that makes it perfect for light duty tasks, from cutting firewood to clearing around the house. The chainsaw also features excellent fit and finish, with a well-made body that doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy.

Ergonomic Design:

It has an ergonomic design that makes it easy to hold and operate. This is a big plus if you are working in tight spaces or need to use a lot of force to cut through tough materials.

Well-placed chain oil filler:

The oil filler is well placed and easy to access. Simply remove the cap and add your preferred type of chain oil.

Auto-tension bar and chain tightening mechanism:

This chainsaw has an auto-tension bar that keeps the chain at the correct tension. This prevents it from becoming loose and helps to ensure a safe, accurate cut. It is also automatically tightened as you use the saw.

Automatic oiler:

It keeps the chainsaw in good condition for a long time, no need to worry about your saw getting jammed with dry wood.

Power share battery system:

The WORX 20V Lithium-ion batteries power tools for up to 18 months so you’ll always have the energy needed. The POWER SHARE battery system lets you share a battery between multiple tools, saving you time and money on replacement batteries.

Starting up the saw:

This saw is so easy to start up. There’s no pull cord or any of that nonsense, just push a button and it starts right away. It only takes about 0-60 seconds for the chainsaw to heat up before you can actually use it. The chain oil tank doesn’t take long either – I’d say around 20 minutes. The oil is pretty easy to fill. Just pop the cap off and pour it in until you get a nice bead of oil around the edge of the tank. This saw comes with two 20V batteries, so if one dies while you’re working just swap it out for another one – no need to stop what you are doing!

Built in safety (lock-out button):

The chainsaw has a “lock-out button” on the rear handle that you must press before you can engage the ON/OFF lever. This is a great safety feature and prevents a lot of accidents.

Let’s cut it:

WORX 20V Chainsaw have plastic rebound spikes in the rear saws to act as leverage points for faster cutting speeds. With each cut, I positioned the saw on top of the branch and allowed the weight to do much of the work. The saw consistently made sharp lines through all the branches like a hot knife through butter. WORX chainsaws had enough drive to keep him steady but it did not fall in either. The saw swept through the 3 1/4 inch long stump with no hesitation and the cuts were as clean as on 3-inch stems. The spikes are plastic rather than metal to find bigger chainsaws because they don’t penetrate into the wood very easily.

Plenty of power:

The WORX 20V Cordless Chainsaw has plenty of power to handle whatever you need it to. With a chain speed of 16 m/s, this chainsaw can easily cut through branches and logs.

No chain brake:

Chainsaws are dangerous tools. That’s why you need to know how to use one safely. The WORX 20V chainsaw doesn’t have a brake, which can make it more difficult (and potentially much more hazardous) for beginners or anyone else who is not well-versed in using this tool

Excellent operator’s manual (with one exception):

The operator manual is excellent except section about trimming trees (prunching). The only section with which I can not agree is the part who references how to prune a tree. The acceptable way to harvest a limb is a 3-cut technique in which the second undercut referenced in the manual is not performed. Don’t throw this report. Keep them handy; it’ll be a good reference book. Be sure your pruner cuts should be directly a short distance from the bark collar at the branch. This area is usually where a branch meets or exceeds this trunk depth and it extends approximately.

Warranty:

The warranty extends over 3 years in material defects. The device must remain available for registration for at least 30 days from the date of the purchase. Batteries are warrantied for 1 year no matter if you register them. You are expected to pay the shipping back to WORX for defects in the tool battery or in the tool. Your shipping charges will have to be returned to the factory to get the defective battery back. The manufacturer’s warranty is exclusive to your tools.
